The Marysville Immediate Care Team
Marysville Immediate Care providers and staff are a group of very dedicated and caring individuals who believe in team play. They are setting records for number of patients seen. We can't help but believe their success in numbers is due to the quality and compassionate care they deliver. Congratulations to all! Congratulations to the entire Marysville Immediate Care Team, our Team of the Quarter for January, February, March 2011! Our 2010 Fourth Quarter Team of the Quarter winner is:
The I.T. Team
During the last quarter of 2010 we were faced with a logistical challenge, i.e. moving pediatric, billing and IT staff into a new add-on to our building. In addition, the conference room was being constructed and several employees had their workspace change a few times. Numerous computer workstations, phones, and copiers/faxes were added or moved which became quite the logistical challenge. During this time, the IT TEAM performed at a high level of performance and was willing to do "whatever it takes" to make this transition a smooth one for all involved. Fortunately this is always the manner in which they approach all requests and this is why they were selected Team of the Quarter. Congratulations to the entire I.T. Team, our Team of the Quarter for October, November, and December 2010! Our 2010 Third Quarter Team of the Quarter winner is:
The Front Office
The Front Office Staff was selected as the Team of the Quarter for the months of August, September and October. From answering 300+ phone calls a day, scheduling for 15 providers, conducting the eternal search for the chart, greeting each patient who walks in and registering each and every one of them, this group works as a team. A system has been implemented to register walk-in appointments at a separate window which has lets those patients with appointments move through the system much faster. Charts have been arranged to separate the pediatric charts from the adults. This allows for much more accurate filing and quicker access in the chart search. Because all the charts are found and processed in advance, the registration specialists are able to concentrate on signing in each and every patient, this has resulted in fewer mistakes and billing is able to process charges faster and close the months sooner. One group in the department could not have achieved these accomplishments alone; it took all 15 working together, recognizing each other’s strengths and weakness and realizing that making a co-worker look good reflects back and makes you look even better. Congratulations Ana, Alex, Carla, Jeanette, Maggie, Monica, Maly, Nicole, Kuljit, Shontaya, Sunni, Tang, Poonam, Courtney, Vivi, Yolanda, Shawna and Kenya. Congratulations to the entire Front Office, our Team of the Quarter for July, August, and September 2010! Our 2010 Second Quarter Team of the Quarter winner is:
The Accounting Team
This team never fails from pulling together and performing at its’ best. They continue to impress me with their continuous efforts an hard work. No task is too big and they are up for any challenge given to them. Because of their positive driven attitudes, they have managed to restructure our whole chart of accounts. This will enable us to have a better break down of all revenues and expenses through our accounting system and the data will be available much more efficiently. This team has also created several other process improvements that has streamlines our monthly financial close and created several new reports that have provided management with vital information. This team is always performing above and beyond their normal duties and consistently looking to improve each and every process in our department. I greatly appreciate and would like to thank each and every member of this team. Without them, I would be lost in the woods! I would like to award this honor to the Accounting Team... Congratulations to the Accounting Team, our Team of the Quarter for April, May and June 2010! Our 2010 First Quarter Team of the Quarter winner is:The Business OfficeEach quarter Peach Tree Clinic selects a department, which represents the best in team work. For the first quarter of 2010 the Business Office was selected for this honor. The Business Office staff, Leona, Katie, Lori, Sally, Grace, Mary, Betty and Mary, work together to ensure charges are submitted timely, claims are followed up on and patients questions are answered quickly. One of the areas the Business Office has excelled at this quarter is the month end closing process. Each month this quarter the staff have closed the month from 2 to 5 days early. By doing this the Accounting Department is given additional time to completed the Financial Statements for the Board of Directors. The Business Office staff works with other departments offering training to registration staff, assistance in coding for our providers and answering questions on various programs for our nursing staff. Congratulations to the Business Office, our Team of the Quarter for January, February and March 2010! Our 2009 Fourth Quarter Team of the Quarter winner for the is:Dr. Coulter and Amber CooperGiving and caring is a duty and responsibility in the healthcare profession. Those in this profession do great things without expecting a “thank you” or acknowledgement. That is why most physicians advice aspiring students not to go into medicine for financial or material gains. One such example of commitment comes from an “old pro”. Dr. Joe Coulter retired once but still feels the call to serve. He returned to clinical medicine after many years as an administrator. After shaking off a little bit of rust he demonstrated the reasons he is a successful family doctor. His empathy and genuine concern for the sick and needy never left him. He took on the biggest and heaviest patient at PTH (more than 600 lbs). To care for patients this large require patience and hard work just as big. There are not too many providers who would accept this challenge. As a senior physician you would expect him to slow down a bit. To the contrary, many times he is the last one to leave the clinic, way past closing time. Dr. Coulter cannot accomplish his enormous job without help. To keep up with him and do a good job as well require skills and dedication. His nurse Amber Cooper with help from the rest of Pod 1 (Candice, Ruby, Melissa, Sarb and Emily) have earned the right to join Dr. Coulter as the Team of the Quarter. |
